Abstract :
In this paper, the advanced marine variable-air-volume (VAV) air-conditioning (A/C) system was taken to be the control object. By using fuzzy control theory, a fuzzy controller was developed for the variable-frequency supply air fan in the marine VAV A/C system to control its supply air static pressure. An experimental test for the fuzzy controller developed was carried out. Step changes for set point of static pressure were introduced to investigate control effect of the fuzzy controller. Experimental results showed that the fuzzy controller could achieve good control of static pressure for the marine VAV A/C system.
