Abstract :
For pt.IV see IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, p.102-6 (1987). A procedure for electromagnetic interference (EMI) measurement is considered in which a preliminary measurement is conducted in advance of detailed measurements to obtain representative levels of emission over the entire frequency range. For the preliminary scan, sweep measurements are performed with a wideband antenna and a spectrum analyzer. The measurement is usually made with a fixed antenna height determined from past experience.<>
