Abstract :
This paper describes a test set for capacity testing of large, lead acid cells - up to 3500 Ampere Hours. The test set is capable of discharge rates of up to 660 A and charge rates up to 330 A. The test set is computer based, monitoring and controlling the charge and discharge functions on time, voltage, and current bases. A demonstration model was constructed and tested, proving feasibility of the concepts.
