Abstract :
Electrostatic precipitation of particulate matter in nonconducting liquids is a technique of solid-liquid separation. It may compete with the traditional separation techniques, like filtration, distillation, centrifuge separation. In comparison with those methods it possesses some distinct advantages: it is a continuous process, its energy consumption is negligible, it is highly efficient with respect to particles in the submicron range.
