Abstract :
A novel squarer circuit is proposed. The circuit operates in class AB yielding maximum output currents not limited by the quiescent currents. Class AB operation at the input stage is achieved using a compact pseudo-differential pair. Measurement results for a 0.5mum CMOS technology are included that demonstrate the approach followed.
