Abstract :
Existing mobile base station of tactical mobile communication systems (TMCS) has used single type of antenna and constant output power without considering of tactical situations. For this reason, service of the mobile base station cannot optimize to the tactical situations and waste of power and capacity occurs. To solve this problem if we use hand-operated antenna switching concept, there still exist drawbacks such as timeliness of service and inconvenience of operators. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an adaptive antenna switching method based on self organizing network. This proposed method can provide the optimized service to the tactical circumstance and reduce the excessive power consumption of the TMCS.
