Abstract
With the widespread use of the distributed harmonic sources, quantifying the individual harmonic impacts of the multiple harmonic producing loads is becoming increasingly important. In this paper, a thorough review of the harmonic source identification technologies is given out and the potential research direction of this area is analyzed. Based on this, two possible methods, the multiple linear regression method and partial correlation analysis method are researched in order to determine the individual contributions of multiple harmonic loads. The proposed methods transform the problem of harmonic contribution determination to a data correlation analysis. The degree of correlation between harmonic voltage and each harmonic current can be used to estimate the harmonic impact of each load. Finally, the improvements of the proposed methods are discussed.
