Abstract :
This paper implements an unsubstantial location index(ULI) for evaluating the voltage sag impacts of the fault locations in power system on the customer. Three stochastic simulation models of fault locations are compared before proposing the index to get the most accurate simulation model. The ULI is presented considering both the remnant magnitude of voltage sags and frequency of the faults in the system. Monte Carlo simulation method is applied in simulating the voltage sag events. With the results of ULI, the sequence provides the most important location that needs to be considered. The ULI can tell the utility which points need to be taken care of, and help them make decision in the schedule of reconstruction.
