Abstract :
Candidate nominations are now being accepted for the 2014 IEEE Consumer Electronics (CE) Society annual elections ballot for the board of directors, also known as the Administrative Committee (AdCom), members for a three-year term beginning 1 January 2014. In accordance with the IEEE CE Society bylaws, nominations may be made by the board, the Nominations and Elections (N&E) Committee, or by petition by individual voting members. As stated in the Society bylaws, a nomination supported by signatures of 2% of the eligible members (i.e., excluding those of students and affiliates) in good standing (i.e., dues paid) will be automatically put on the ballot. Nominees should possess professional stature and significant technical skills in any of the CE fields. They must have adequate financial support outside the Society and have the approval of their organizations or employers to actively participate in the board meetings and contribute to board activities.
