Abstract :
The multi-output forward convertor with PWM controller and magnetic amplifier has the advantages of fewer parts, high efficiency and good reliability. For this type convertor, optimum magnetic amplifier design is most important. This paper describes the design and analysis of high frequency magnetic amplifier regulator with newly developed Co-base amorphous saturable core (ACO-5SH) considering the dynamic magnetic characteristics of core operating as magnetic amplifier under rectangular-wave voltage excitation.
