Abstract :
Interest in the process of geotomography is no longer limited to geophysicists and engineers. Commercial use has demonstrated that geotomographic images are of equal interest to geologists, lawyers, and environmental scientists. With such a wide range of users, it has been advantageous to develop imaging software that can be easily operated by all potential users. To facilitate such a goal, a graphical user interface (GUI) has been added to the front end of a geotomographic imaging application package. This paper discusses the evolution of such a GUI, and recognizes combined motivations in the study of geotomographic imaging techniques and in the need for an interactive interface
