Abstract
The influence of jury verdicts in product liability lawsuits on both manufacturers and suppliers of a wide range of products is growing. Since this influence cannot be ignored, it should be consciously incorporated in as another design input. The major theories of product liability recovery are introduced, along with some suggestions on how to address certain of the concerns raised
