Abstract
The use of mathematical models in enhancing the performance of building services systems is discussed. In particular a full-scale HVAC system is studied to demonstrate the potential of such methods with emphasis on the controller design. The paper objectively assesses the model-based predictive on/off control strategy against the standard on/off controller by directly comparing the implementational results from the test system
