Abstract :
This paper is to measure and analyze a performance - TPS(Transaction Per Second) and TET(Total Execution Time, that is, data I/O processing total time during test) - variation of DRAM-SSD and HDD storage in server-storage N:1 connection environment. We used to two test method - connection between single server and single storage(1:1), and between multiple server and single storage(N:1) - in the SAN environment. As a results, we confirmed that performance is decreased in N:1 than 1:1 connection. TET performance is decreased 50.9%, 9.5% in case of HDD, DRAM-SSD Storage respectively and TPS performance is decreased 28.2% in HDD Storage, 6.8% in DRAM-SSD Storage. Specially in the NΩ1 connection, we observed not only sharp performance fall but also unstable characteristic in HDD Storage system. In conclusion, we suggest that it must be used DRAM-SSD storage in N:1 connection operation environment between multiple server and a storage system for cloud computing.
