Abstract
Current microprocessor based control systems are capable of controlling, monitoring, and alarming the telephone power room. These special purpose computer systems are continuing to evolve, and offer expanded capabilities while becoming more user friendly. For sites that do not require the control function, a monitor system may offer a cost effective alternative. This paper will compare the features of the controller and the monitor.
