Abstract :
The evolution of regional economic structure contributes to the effects of the single cities´ behaviors and the relationship among them. The city location, urban economic state, urban industrial structure, technology development, communication cost and efficiency etc. play very important roles in this structure evolution procedure. The effect of this evolution appears not only the amount of the entire regional economy, but also the agglomeration in this regional space. This research studies how the evolution procedure takes place, why it likes this, and what it will be from a down-up view. This study uses a simulation tool, which is swarm platform. The aim of using it is to utilize its agent-based models (ABMs) to illustrate and access the information and data of cities in this spatial city gaming process. The game of these micro agent-based models in the simulation can simple the relationship and inter-organization of the regional structure evolution system. It is shown that regional economic development is the outcome of city gaming. Changes in the rules of this gaming can also change the spatial appearance of regional economy. That is to say, the regional economy structure can be well forecasted through this down-up method
