Abstract
The main purpose of an aeroengine control is to provide adequate response to pilot thrust demands. The problem of modulating thrust while maintaining a desired surge margin is inherently multivariable. The H ∞ mixed sensitivity synthesis was used to design the controller. It makes use of weighting functions to shape the frequency response of the closed loop system
