Abstract :
With the wind power´s increasing penetration, the problems accompanied by integration are becoming widespread. In this paper, a novel idea based on system view is proposed here, which considers the grid-connected wind generation as a part of grid, namely, a generation unit or load with high randomness. From analyzing the performance of wind generator when different faults happened, the influences on integrated wind power can be studied. The principles of the double fed induction generator (DFIG) are illustrated and the model is established with software DIgSILENT/PowerFactory. Example of IEEE three machines nine nodes system with one wind farm including DFIG is also set up. Different types of single faults occurred at different places of the above system are performed and the impacts on the wind farm are analyzed. As the proposed idea is practical, the simulation results are credible and have practical and theoretical reference effect.
