  • Abstract
    For the study of power system self-organized criticality (SOC), an improved model is defined in this paper. The model describes opposing forces which have been conjectured to cause SOC in power system blackouts. The model dynamic equilibrium is illustrated using results from the 39 bus IEEE test system.
