Abstract :
We describe the behaviour of four different fitness functions for assigning features to objects in a 2-D image. We first outline the particular segmentation problem to be tackled, and give an overview of the genetic algorithm approach. Then we consider fitness functions which might be suitable for the problem and proceed to test them in detail
