Remote Supervision System Serving Telecom Network and Power Supply Menagement

The first part of the paper outlines the purposes of the supervisory system of power supply equipment. It touches upon: - Contiunous monitoring of the batteries and static converters; - indicating both status or trouble alarm signals and measured values of the power performance as well as network menagement terminal of the supervisory centre; - remote controlled switch of redundancies. The paper describes in details the parameters to be supervised, and in some cases our ranging and comments. The Research Institute of Hungarian PTT developed a wide variety of equipment for remote supervisory system. The paper deals with the: - sensors, local units; - signal transmission possibilities; - central analysing methods and - solutions of reporting and remote control.
