Abstract
We present a brief summary of the method and results of the hybrid SAR/ISAR theory. This is followed by a description of the algorithms for image improvement which have been developed using the results of this theory. These generalised algorithms are shown to work on SAR, ISAR and hybrid SAR/ISAR imagery. As such algorithms can be shown to increase the yield of classifiable imagery, a brief discussion on the problems of radar-image classification is presented along with a brief comparison of range profiling and imaging. Finally, we present a discussion of future work. This not only describes possible improvements to the algorithms and image-classification schemes but also extensions of the theory to include multibeam systems and near-field-range measurements
