Abstract :
A linear precoding for a block transmission system with multi transmit/receive antennas is considered. In the environment where exact channel state information can be available at the transmitter, optimal transmission can be achieved by the linear precoder design at every transmission block. However, the computational cost to design the precoder increases since calculation of the eigenmodes is required at every transmission block. In this paper, we propose a design method of linear precoder with the extreme bounds of the eigenmodes signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) variation to reduce computational cost. The applicability of this method is demonstrated in computational simulation.
