Abstract :
In this report we review progress in extending the beam clean up technology to CW laser sources through the use of multi-mode optical fibre. We report on the operational performance of the new fibre-based optical phase conjugation (OPC)-SBS technology for beam clean up of CW MOPA laser radiation with prospective power scaling from mW´s to kW´s. In this work we also report on the first experimental observation of spectral self-phase conjugation (SpSPC) in SBS. The phenomenon is the spectral (temporal) analogue to conventional (spatial) self-phase conjugation in SBS.
