Abstract :
A CSIM-based teletraffic simulator originally designed for a circuit switched network was expanded to simulate SS7 (Signaling System Number 7) and intelligent networks. The authors describe the design paradigm of the simulator and how it achieves the performance measurement of and planning for hybrid networks. The modeling techniques for the circuit switched network, the signaling network, and the intelligent network are discussed separately
