Abstract :
As a result of the lag characteristic of wind, the power output of different wind farms in the large-scale wind power base show some correlation. Studying the correlation has great significance for predicting wind power and analyzing the impact of the introduction of wind power on the power system operation. To study this, a more detailed analysis is required. In this paper, the analytical approaches of wind power correlation in a large-scale wind power base have been studied systematically. Eviews software is applied to studying the dependence among the individual wind farms in a region during the different period. Then the relevant laws of the wind power are found. Finally based on the laws, the differences between the analysis concerning a single wind farm operating characteristics and the analysis focusing on large-scale wind power base consolidated operating characteristics have been discussed.
