Abstract
The aim of the paper is to explain Solid State Logic´s philosophy on the role of workstations in their particular sector of the professional audio industry. As manufacturers of audio processing and post production tools, they believe that workstations have an important role to play in certain areas but that dedicated hardware will provide the best means of realising ultimate performance for a long time to come
