Abstract :
Pattern classification plays an important role in artificial intelligence and computer science, which is still a challenging problem. With the rapid development of computing techniques, lots of classification algorithms (classifier) have been published and each approach has its assumptions, advantages, and limitations. This paper presents an overview of various algorithms which are classified into different category. The object of this paper is to summarize and compare some of the well-known methods used in many applications
