Abstract
This paper describes the current structure of the network control organization for the NATO Integrated Communication System (NICS) and defines the current network control capabilities. Secondly, NICS elements along with their inherent control and associated communications support facilities as well as planned improvements for data base management are covered. Finally, use of digital circuit control and reconfiguration facilities planned to improve communications survivability and circuit utilization efficiency are described.
