Abstract :
The idea of studying the stability of fuzzy logic controllers within the Lur´e problem framework is extended to the case where the plant model contains parameter uncertainty. A fuzzy logic controller is designed to control a nuclear reactor. Then, the stability and the robustness of the overall system is studied by using the recent developments in the robust control theory. To support the theoretical results, a series of simulations is performed for different plant conditions. While fuzzy logic controller provided good performance for the nominal plant, it also maintained the stability under the off-nominal plant conditions
