Abstract
The problems of modeling and managing complex processes are addressed. A novel modeling technique which combines both process and object characteristics is presented, and a scheme for automatically applying the model information to process control is described. The approach has been tested in design systems for electronic CAD (computer-aided design). The approach use predicate-transition nets and rules
