Abstract
The configuration proposed in this paper is a configuration of "quasi-intracavity sum-frequency-mixing" combined systems of intra- and extracavity frequency conversion. The configuration is an attractive method to achieve higher power SFG. Our approach in progress is to construct an intracavity system at 1319 nm and to combine 1064 nm beam from outside of the 1319 nm cavity with optics and a nonlinear optical crystal of lower losses at 1319 nm. The approach will compensate the lower power of 1319 nm compared with 1064 nm power and achieve 589 nm output power at the 4-10 W level at 589 nm in SFG.
