Abstract :
A Q-band continue wave Traveling-Wave Tube was design with Folded Waveguide as its slow wave structure. When the beam voltage is 20KV and the beam current is 0.15A, respectively, the simulation shows it can produce over 200 watts of saturable output power within 43.5-45.5GHz. Some important components including slow wave structure, attenuator magnetic system and collector was analysis and fabricated. The design and fabrication show this type TWT can be easily manufactured and assembled with high power and broad bandwidth output.
