Abstract
In the power market environment, it is important to establish the appropriate price of electrical energy. It should reflect the generate electricity and other operation cost. As one of the price for end user, time-of-use (TOU) tariff is used by most country of the world. As one of the most efficient measures for modern demand side Management (DSM), time-of-use (TOU) tariff is very beneficial to flat the load curve, which depend on not only the peak and valley price appropriate, but also the peak and valley time periods partitioned appropriately. A peak and valley time period´s partition method in this paper based on annual continuous load curve is proposed, simultaneously combined with statistical probability distribution. Example shows the objectivity and scientificity of this partition method as well as the operability.
