Abstract :
A W-band sheet-beam extended interaction klystron (EIK) is being fabricated and integrated with our previously demonstrated 19.5-kV, 3.3-A beamstick. The EIK is predicted by 3-D particle-in-cell simulations to have a saturated output power of almost 10 kW and a small-signal gain >;40 dB. Key design features of the device will be reviewed, and the status of the fabrication and testing will be discussed.
