Abstract
There are many kinds of industry loads, and different types of them have different characteristics. Load composition analysis plays an essential role in power system planning, dispatching and market operation, as well as for load modeling. Given this background, based on the monthly electricity consumption data as well as the load data of each kind of industry loads collected by the load control system, an effort is made to calculate the load composition of the whole power system, by employing the statistical inference method. Furthermore, the variation rules of each industry load during special days to those during normal days are investigated and analyzed. It is demonstrated by numerous simulation results that the developed approach for load composition analysis could provide efficient decision-making assistance for power system planning, dispatching, market operation, as well as load forecasting.
