Abstract
This paper summarized the main measures in New Zealand e-government construction by the way of the literature research and example analysis, such as setting up New Zealand e-government website, implementing government shared network project and constructing the public sector intranet (PSI); it summed up the characteristics of New Zealand e-government construction, including government´s leadership, technology input and public participation. At last, it provided practical guidance which can be used for reference by China, such as strengthening the leadership to the development of e-government, increasing the technology input to e-government construction further and developing broad e-democracy to provide channels for public participation. The results show that China may spare no effort to realize these steps.
