Abstract :
Hydropower operation optimization is a significant part of system operation in CSG. With a brief introduction of hydropower system in CSG, principles for optimization and measures applied in operation practice are addressed in this paper. Indexes to evaluate optimization are discussed as well. To tackle new challenges from climatic change and emerging new projects, risk management and effective coordination in hydropower operation are proposed as countermeasures.
