Abstract
A dual-mode horn antenna with a vacuum window for 1040 GHz has been designed. Simulations indicate a near-Gaussian far-field pattern, an average half power beamwidth of 2.7° and sidelobes lower than -35 dB. The horn can be used in the input/output coupler of a THz vacuum electron device.
