Abstract
Unbalanced cases of multiwavelet being applied are discussed in this paper. We give the definition of balanced multi-scaling functions, which is a little difference from the definition of balance. Our definition is more convenient for calculating the balancer. Based on the discussion, an algorithm to calculate the prefilter with balancing is presented, with satisfied results in image decomposition
