Abstract
After 16 years of war, the Lebanese telecommunication network is badly destroyed. The rehabilitation/extension of this network is starting. The rehabilitation of around 100 power supply plants and the implementation of around 160 new power supply plants is planned. After a quick presentation of the actual and future Lebanese network, the authors describe the main constraints in the field of energy for the telecommunication. Afterwards some orientations for the future implementation of new power supply plants are proposed. The study of the Lebanese case can be extended to several countries in the world were similar constraints can be found
