Abstract :
We investigate an individual charge qubit coupled to an electronic detector where its current flow enables the continuous monitoring of the qubit dynamics. As specific detector model we employ a capacitively coupled single-electron transistor. Even though the detector signal-to-noise ratio is very low we demonstrate a successful qubit manipulation by back-coupling of the time-dependent detector current into qubit parameters.
