Abstract
The function of batteries is to provide the energy of telecom equipment without interruption at mains failure. Depending on battery reserve and seismic zones, telecom organizations require analysis of battery racks resistant to earthquakes according to national standards and international recommendations. This paper deals with the computer analysis of battery racks resistant to earthquakes. The analysis is based on the finite element method (FEM) with seismic motion given with design response spectrum (DRS). Finally, there is also given a graphical survey of rack vibrations for a particular DRS
