E-Catalunya Experience Report (July 2009)

This article describes the experience related with the e-Catalunya platform, a social network and Web 2.0 collaborative environment developed in Catalonia (Spain) in order to improve the transparency of administration and government and to increase participation of citizens. The platform is being continuously improved, offering a set of collaboration tools and a powerful administration environment that makes it easy to configure to suit the different collectives´ needs. The e-Catalunya platform is a key element in the strategy of the Catalan government towards providing Web 2.0 based services and to boost communities of practice.
