Abstract :
We report results on the design, fabrication, and test of an improved circuit for a pulsed, 140 GHz, 1 kW gyro-amplifier. The new confocal waveguide circuit features improved mechanical construction, input coupling into the higher-order operational mode, and sever design. The goal is increased gain, bandwidth, and output power. Numerical simulations of the gain and preliminary experimental results are presented.
