Abstract :
A number of helix mini traveling wave tubes (TWTs) operating over a multi-octave frequency band have been designed and developed during last ten years. In this paper, the critical areas of design and development of these devices are elaborated and supported by experimental results. Details about an ongoing development of 2 to 7 GHz, 100 W helix TWT are also presented.
