Abstract
In this paper, we propose a dynamic coded cooperation using multiple turbo codes. Our proposed cooperation is able to provide the diversity gain efficiently without loss of bandwidth efficiency. Moreover, in our proposed scheme, the relay can dynamically determine if it should cooperate or not. Thus, we investigate a design of a simple power detection to estimate a precise duration of cooperation phase upon decoding information at the destination. Computer simulations show that our proposed approach is able to achieve a full diversity and superior frame error rate compared with the conventional coded cooperation based on turbo codes especially in low signal to noise ratio (SNR) regime.
