Abstract
The influence of tungsten powder dispersity and tungsten skeleton microstructure on the formation of emission power of dispenser cathodes (DC) under heat vacuum treatment, namely under degassing and activating was investigated. Emissive and Auger spectrometry investigations were carried and the DC microstructure characteristics were obtained. It is presumed that DC emission power is connected with the presence of three-dimensional BaO-CaO formations, monatomic (BaO and Ba) films and excess oxygen on the tungsten phase surface.
