Abstract :
The effect of amplitude weighting the received signal in a spread spectrum transform domain processing receiver is studied. Both experimental and theoretical results of probability of error are given for direct sequence DS) systems using a 63 chip spreading sequence with non-contiguous data. The DS signal is received in the presence of narrowband interference and additive white Gaussian noise, and good agreement between theory and experiment is demonstrated. Results are given for both weighted and unweighted input signals at various notch bandwidths.
