Abstract
In this paper, the effect of size reduction on the performance of UWB Vee dipole antennas is studied. The study starts with designing a Vee dipole antenna with a 44mm arm length and a UWB coaxial balun. Then the effect of reducing the arm length on impedance bandwidth is investigated. Dielectric cones are implemented between the Vee arms to compensate for the reduction in length.
